Julia Computing is looking for a people operations specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is results-driven, enthusiastic about anchoring various HR initiatives in India and other global regions. 

 

Julia Computing's mission is to develop products that bring Julia's superpowers to its customers. Julia Computing's flagship product is JuliaHub, a secure, cloud based, software-as-a-service platform for developing Julia programs, deploying them, and scaling to thousands of nodes. Julia Computing was founded in 2015 by the creators of the Julia programming language for artificial intelligence, machine learning, analytics, data science, modeling and simulation.

 

The people operations team ensures the success of everything people-related at the company. Our mission is to help Julia Computing grow and scale by finding, hiring, onboarding, and retaining a thriving team. Delivering an outstanding experience for candidates and people at each stage of this lifecycle is critical to our success.

Responsibilities

 

Specific responsibilities for the members of the team may include but are not limited to a wide range of activities required to deliver design and deliver uniquely effective and efficient operational performance across hiring, onboarding (pre and post joining formalities) ,and people success. These activities may include, for instance:

 

  • Being the “all-access” point for people as our “customers” with an exceptional standard for service and execution. Owning the responsibility of handling the end to end people lifecycle including onboarding formalities, compensation, benefits, exit formalities, and people queries on compensation and benefits
  • Manage people data management including onboarding, exit, organizational change on the HRMS system and present people metrics from time to time
  • Maintain and track people files/records and support in the various HR related topics such as leaves, compensation, payroll, and benefits administration, etc.
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of company handbook, people directory, and organizational chart
  • Support broader people and culture interventions around annual reviews, background verifications, etc, and create relevant templates and formats under the guidance
  • Manage people relations and resolve queries pertaining to policies, processes, benefits, etc.
  • Coordinating our global talent events agenda, including university recruiting events, job fairs, hackathons, and tech talks

 

Requirements

 

The ideal candidate would have:

  • MBA or equivalent degree
  • 3-5 years of people management experience
  • Start-up and people management experience is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office & familiarity with HRIS systems
  • Ability to connect with people deeply! Powerful orientation toward the result
  • Ability to organize complex projects amid ambiguity and tight deadlines
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, global environment
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with an appropriate blend of professionalism and reporting skills

 

Location: This role will be currently remote but the position is based out of Bangalore
