Job Description:
Design, implement, and maintain strategic, multi-disciplinary software delivery programs in support of the product and engineering teams. Apply advanced consulting skills and extensive technical project management expertise with industry knowledge of building software best practices for science and mathematically advanced developers and research teams. Work autonomously, taking initiative and moving projects forward with minimal oversight.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead our product delivery and quality assurance processes by consulting both the product and engineering teams.
- Strategically manage the product lifecycle from ideation to deployment, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Communicate effectively with product and engineering leaders to align interests and efficiently deliver features.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience with program management with a focus on software delivery best practices.
- Proven experience in managing product backlogs and working with development teams to ensure timely delivery of product milestones
- Familiarity with GitHub, ticketing systems, and agile methodologies
- A solid understanding of what constitutes a high-quality user experience and being able to interface with customer-facing teams to gather feedback and translate that into actionable product features.
- Experience with software testing and deployment best practices.
- Managing the timeline and estimating delivery dates.
- Experience with developing and monitoring product delivery metrics to drive continuous improvement and optimization.
Preferred Skills:
- Programming experience is not required, but experience working with or for a software company is a strong plus.
- Ability and willingness to learn new tools related to software engineering and design to better understand and communicate with technical teams.
- Formal Scrum or Agile experience is appreciated, but not required. Familiarity with agile methodologies and iterative development processes is beneficial.
