Julia Computing was founded in 2015 by the creators of the Julia programming language for artificial intelligence, machine learning, analytics, data science, modeling, and simulation. 

Julia Computing's mission is to develop products that bring Julia's superpowers to its customers. Julia Computing's flagship product is JuliaHub, a secure, cloud based, software-as-a-service platform for developing Julia programs, deploying them, and scaling to thousands of nodes. 

The Head of Marketing will work closely with the management team to create demand and pipeline for JuliaHub as well as it’s domain specific add-on products including Pumas, JuliaSim and JuliaSPICE.

The Position

Reporting to Julia Computing’s CEO, Viral Shah, the Head of Marketing will play a critical role in driving growth at Julia Computing. The Head of Marketing will be an executive with a demonstrated history of success building organizations and a background of outstanding performance. It will be critical that this individual has helped scale a rapidly growing SaaS business.  In this role, the Head of Marketing will work closely with the CEO and COO to develop the plan and roadmap for future growth. The Head of Marketing must be a natural leader and a strategic visionary with the ability and desire to take on more challenges than what is given to them.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive the marketing strategy for product led growth.
  • Launch a series of new vertically-focused solutions while maintaining a consistent brand promise across all Julia Computing offerings.
  • Build on the profile of Julia language and Julia community to create a larger-than-life brand value for our flagship product JuliaHub.
  • Evangelize Julia Computing, JuliaHub and the Julia Language across the developer, data science, and scientific computing communities to continue to build a passionate and engaged community.
  • Build an effective, metrics-driven, repeatable demand generation engine.  Work closely with the sales team to funnel the leads, build metrics and processes on lead management.
  • Content led marketing including content creation and re-packaging, figuring out all the outposts where the right kind of content should flow. 
  • Build and maintain all the collateral like ppts, brochures, website, social media presence and other marketing materials.
  • Manage participation in industry conferences.
  • Develop and execute our AR, PR and Social Media strategies.


  • Track record in leading and building high performance teams, while operating themselves in an urgent and highly driven manner.
  • Deep expertise across multiple customer segments ranging from Enterprise customers & price points.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with all teams.
  • At least 10 years of marketing experience in enterprise software with focus on cloud based and/or SaaS products .
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with sales, product, business development and customer success to build a strong, cohesive go-to-market machine.
  • Proven evangelical marketing track record in a new product / new market environment.
